Students' Blog Day 5
BARDENAS REALES- OLITE- PAMPLONA
THE MOVIE SCENE OF BARDENAS
Today we visited Bardenas Reales. It is a semidesert but in the past there was a big lake there.
In this semidesert the militars explode explosives, but the birds are used to them. In this place they filmed «Game of Thrones» and in this semidesert it doesn't rain very often. We could see the different layers of the mountains in the past.
Today we went to the Olite Palace. It was built between 1402-1424.
It was destroyed by a fire during the Napoleon war. Then it was rebuilt again. It has five towers. It was very luxurious. It was interesting, and the guide was very nice.
Hemingway’s activity was very interesting and funny. He was «crazy».
We played some games about art, literature and theatre. Hemingway was an American writer, he wrote The Old Man and the Sea, Farewell to Arms, For whom the Bell Tolls….
PLAYING OUT HEMINGWAY'S NOVELS
Every group represented one Ernest Hemingway's novel: The Old Man and The Sea; For Whom the Bells Tolls; The Sun also Rises and Farewell to Arms.
It was a good activity because it was interactive, interesting and we cooperated with our friends. It was a little difficult to make this play and we learnt the story of the novel.
