Students' Blog Day 2
ZARAGOZA
Natural Science Museum
We went to the Natural Science Museum. First, we saw an exhibition about Santiago Ramón y Cajal who was a scientist. He won a Nobel Prize. Secondly, we went to the old library. Finally, we visited the Evolution of the Earth rooms. We saw different types of fossils. We think it was interesting but at the end it was a little bit long.
THE 1000 FACES OF FISH
Today we have visited the aquarium in Zaragoza. We have taken many pictures of the fish, sharks, frogs, monkeys…We had to choose the most beautiful and the ugliest fish. We also bought some gifts at the aquarium shops. We have seen the second biggest fish of the river and the most dangerous animal, the amazon frog. We loved the aquarium because there were many beautiful and interesting fish, but some of them were quite ugly.
WALKING AROUND ZARAGOZA
First we have seen Pilar’s Square. After that, we have seen ‘La Basílica del Pilar’. Goya painted the ceilings and we have seen two bomb holes from the Spanish Civil War.
Next to the previous building there is the City Hall, the building where they signed contracts, and then the Cathedral. The thing we have liked the most is ‘La Basílica del Pilar’. It’s very impressive. The building is enormous and the Virgin is very small.
We have also liked the fountain at the square, for its colors and the water. What we didn’t like is that inside La Basílica we couldn’t take photos and the acoustics wasn’t good.
